Have a question or want to plan a history presentation with your school or organization? All teacher requests for field trips to Spokane House should go to the Riverside State Park website to fill out a field trip request form. The request form is near the bottom of the page under the paragraph titled Spokane House Interpretive Center.
Please note that the Northwest Fur Trade Historians (NWFTH) are NOT in charge of the Spokane House historic site or interpretive center. These are managed by Riverside State Park. The State Park coordinates with NWFTH to plan school days or other public events at the historic site. Our participation in these events depends on availability of volunteers. Please let us know if you have any questions about our volunteers presenting to your school group, history museum, summer camp, church group or other organization.
The typical season and hours of operation for the Spokane House Interpretive Center are Memorial Day through Labor Day, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am. - 4:00 pm. When visiting a Washington State Parks Discover Pass is required to be displayed on one's vehicle. During the off season (Oct. - May), visitors are allowed to park outside the gate of the Spokane House site (with a valid Discover Pass) and walk in to browse around the site. There is a mural around the exterior of the interpretive center as well as signage that explains the history for visitors to have a self-guided tour.
