The Fort Colvile Bicentennial

2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the construction of Fort Colvile along the Columbia River at Kettle Falls, Washington. The Heritage Network has been working diligently for the past several years to organize a series of events to commemorate this moment in history and discuss the influence of the fur trade on the culture of this area.

The first event in this bicentennial will be the grand reopening of the Kettle Falls Historical Center, which was completely renovated after a water damage incident that occured three years ago. Coinciding with this will be a living history encampment on the grounds of the museum by the NWFTH. Come learn about what life was like during this period of change in the 1820s at Kettle Falls. More information can be found on our events page.
